CHAPTER 5- (Parenting, gender, and stereotypes)
When I was 6 years old .I learned a lesson about patient from my favorite games, making kites. For each one of the kites, we need only about 10 minutes for first time and 5 minutes for the second times but it full of excitement and experience. The things to prepare are newspaper or paper color, scissors, glue, bamboo stick, and thread .I also need my brother to make it and me as his assistant. Plus, I also need a windy field to flying my kites. First, I used scissors to cut off the newspaper which I used the most into shape of square. Next, put bamboo sticks like‘t’ shape them together in the middle of the paper by using strong glue. Then I used thread tied the bamboo and tied the rest as the rope to leading the kites when I play with it later. My brother and I were the players here .I like to play kites, so we won’t give up until we make it. Unfortunately, after manage to finish it we try to fly it but it won’t work. So, we do again until us able to fly it. Finally, from this experience, I have learned the important of patient during working or playing. Patient bring it satisfactory towards everyone because it worth for that.
SWEET MEMORY
When I was a child, I lived with my parents. When I grew up, I lived with my grandparents since I was Form 1 until Form 5 because I school nearby their village. It’s really fun live with them because they treat me nicely and I feel like they pamper me because he once had said that he would bring me to his orchard if I was a boy but he rather let me helping my late grandmother stay at home. My late grandmother are really hardworking and independent .I have learn alloy of thing from her such as cooking dishes with ‘Java’ style and learn to speak “Java” language and how to treat the guess properly. During night, my grandfather would teach me reciting al-Quran and ‘Berzanji’ ut I just manage to end reciting al-Quran but unable to learn ‘Berzanji’. Maybe I am not talented to learn it and such a waste. if my mother, my uncles, and my aunties said he is really strict , I would say that he knows what he doing and it is really work as I can look to one of his son is ‘Imam ‘ and “tok kadi’ in our village. I still remember when the durian is able to eat, he would give me as first person to taste and eat it than my cousins who live at the end of our road. Last year, I further my studies in Kuala Nerang at Kedah .I am so lucky because my grandparents who from my father parents are live nearby my college. They always visit with hand full of food and fruit. I feel so touched. So, I love them a lot. Actually, because of them I could come here. Thanks to god because give me opportunity to get know them and get close them compare than my siblings because they re used to lived with my parents until now. Last but not lease, they are the best person I have in this world after my parents, my sibling and all who had become my teacher among teachers.
